Marine Exotics, Inc., Resellers who do not have a "Retail Storefront'', may be subject to a service fee. Your Sales Representative can provide details. Marine Exoticsreserves the right to refuse service to any customer, at any time, for any reason.
Normal shipping days are Monday - Thursday. Minimum orders are $500. Orders placed which are less than $500 are not covered by our live arrival guarantee. For orders placed on Monday's that are below the $500 minimum, there may be a $25 service charge added to your order. For orders shipped on other days, there may be a $15 service fee for orders under the $500 minimum. In order to help ensure that you are not charged a service fee due to a low fill rate, it is recommended that you use our online ordering system for an up to the date inventory availability. Please inform your sales rep at the time of the order, what items you would like substituted in case some items are not available when the order is being packed.
Payment Terms:
Orders are shipped Prepaid. Visa, Master Card, AMEX, Electronic Funds Transfer (E-Check) and Discover are accepted. Customers understand that they waive all future rights to, “Charge-Back” (reverse) a transaction associated with their Marine Exotics account, regardless of the reason. Some restrictions for C.O.D. shipments due to Airline limitations. Company Checks will NOT be accepted for C.O.D. shipments. C.O.D. shipments will only accept Money Orders. Marine Exotics will charge any unpaid balance due, plus all costs associated with these debts, to any credit card you have provided to Marine Exotics in order to satisfy the unpaid balance or fees associated with an unpaid balance. Pre-payment with company check, Pay-Pal, Cash app,Zelle or wire transfer can be arranged for those who wish to avoid airline C.O.D. fees (please allow enough time for your check to clear your bank before the shipment is sent). Payments made via Pay-Pal are subject to the pay-pal handling fee (ask your sales representative for further details). As pay-pal rates are higher than most credit card rates, only the amount deposited to Marine Exotics is credited for your account.
We cannot guarantee same day shipping for orders placed on the same day. We recommend that you place your order one or two days before your requested shipping day.
Marine Exotics does not offer drop shipping currently. If you have a special request for shipping, please speak with your sales representative.
Packing and Fees:
Any modified packing request made by customer voids our live arrival guarantee.
Marine Exotics utilizes the most current climate control technology for shipping our livestock. All livestock is shipped in Thermally tested boxes and include a custom made "Nano-technology, Thermal Liner bag", and a shipping cardboard outer box. Box charges vary by size. Due to the frequent fluctuation in raw materials used for Packing (Plastic, Cardboard & Styrofoam), prices may change from time-to-time. Heat/Gel packs are provided as climate conditions dictate for an additional fee. Please ask your salesperson for a current list of Packing Charges. So that we can include the appropriate amount of Heat or Gel packs in your order, please notify your sales rep of any strenuous weather conditions in your area.
Sizing:
Orders are filled to the best of our ability. We cannot anticipate precisely what items will be available for sale until just prior to screening and shipping of your order. To better fill your order, we will substitute (up or down one size only) if the size you specified is not available. If you prefer not to accept size substitutions for any particular item or shipment, please notify your sales rep, or indicate “no size sub” on your order for those items.
Shipping:
We will continue to use best practices in packing, and we will continue to take transit time into account for each order.
For On-time Direct Flights and On-time Door-to-Door Shipments:
Marine Exotics packs all shipments for 48 hours of transit time (under non-extreme weather conditions). All shipments are made in good faith via the best possible carrier and routing. Should any carrier mishandling or delay occur, consignees must pick up or accept shipments regardless of the circumstances. Refusal of a shipment, for any reason, voids any and all claims by both the consignee and the shipping carrier.
Shipments must be picked up within 3 hours of arrival or when made available by the carrier, or our live arrival may be voided. Marine Exotics cannot guarantee delivery time or be responsible for inconveniences caused by carrier delay or mishandling for any reason.
All Third Party Carrier Service Guarantees apply. On behalf of our customer, Marine Exotics will file a claim with the carrier for Service failure (based upon that carrier's Service Guarantee). If transit time is greater than 48 hours (after the originally scheduled flight departure time), or if boxes arrive damaged, the shipment must be inspected upon acceptance and any problems, damages or losses should be noted and acknowledged by a carrier representative, and the consignee must obtain a claim form at the time of pick-up.
An inspection report, claim form, DOA list, Photograph of any loss, and a copy of the paid air-bill must be sent to Marine Exotics within 24 hours of receipt. Failure to follow any of the procedures above may void any claims to be paid by the carrier or Marine Exotics. If the above procedures are followed, and based upon the Carrier's service guarantee, Marine Exotics will issue 50% of the livestock claim on the next invoice, and the balance will be issued if and when the claim is paid in full by the airline or other carrier.
OnTrac Trucking Policy:
OnTrac does not provide protective services for the transportation of any type of perishable. Visit OnTrac Policy here: https://www.ontrac.com/terms.asp#perishable
Due to this policy, Marine Exotics strongly discourages the use of OnTrac for perishable shipments. Marine Exotics is unable to honor any claims for shipments sent via OnTrac, for any reason, including damages, delays or lost shipments. All Shipments sent via OnTrac are fully at the risk of the customer, from the moment OnTrac takes possession of the shipment. If you choose to use OnTrac for your shipments, please request an OnTrac waiver from your Salesperson.
Door to Door - Content Coverage Insurance:
Door to Door Shipments on United Parcel Service (UPS) & FedEx are covered by our industry-leading Content Coverage Insurance of a maximum of up to $450 per box. Each box shipped via UPS or FedEx will be charged $7.00, regardless of the actual value included in each box. This coverage does not cover freight losses, or packaging costs. Content Coverage Insurance is activated when the carrier fails to deliver on the scheduled day of delivery. Content Coverage Insurance is not applicable for "Same day late" delivery losses. Insurance will only apply if your shipment is more than 1 day late.
UPS & FedEx Freight Claims:
On behalf of our customers, Marine Exotics will file a freight loss claim with UPS & FedEx for failure to deliver on scheduled day. Marine Exotics will only file a freight loss claim if your shipment is more than 1 day late. We will not file a claim for the same day late delivery shipments. Due to Marine Exotics filing on your behalf, all carrier service guarantees will apply. All carrier and agreement terms apply. Marine Exotics is not responsible for UPS or FedEx service performance.

Freight Charges:
When possible, airline shipments are sent freight collect, unless advanced arrangements are made and approved by Marine Exotics.
For shipments where the freight is prepaid by Marine Exotics, you will be invoiced upon Marine Exotics receiving a bill from the carrier. In most cases, freight charges are normally invoiced 1-10 days after your shipment. In some cases, freight invoices may be issued as far as 30 days after you receive your shipment. Any invoices that result from Marine Exotics pre-paying the freight for your shipment is due immediately and will be charged immediately to your credit card on file, regardless of any terms you may receive on livestock.
